ABOUT
Dvorak Tutoring is a place for children to develop English language skills as well as social and functional skills. I practice play-based learning while concentrating on each child’s strengths and weaknesses. Focusing on your child’s curiosity and quest for knowledge by guiding them into becoming independent thinkers.
I approach learning in ways that prove to be effective and enjoyable for your children based on their individual needs. I focus on individualized learning because it is a key aspect of the development of your child’s language learning process.
SERVICES
All activities and lessons are individually created based on age appropriateness and each child’s ability levels. Concentrating on your child’s interests and strengths to create a positive learning environment.
I live in Andelfingen and offer in house services in the Greater Zürich Area. Currently my majority of clients are between Meilen and Zurich.
SPECIAL EDUCATION
Provide children with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Develop or modify curriculum and prepare lessons and other instructional materials to student ability levels. Prepare and help students transition from grade to grade and from school to life outside of school.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT
Development of children's English language skills through language exposure using listening comprehension, conversational skills, and play skills. These skills are used to create a strong English foundation. When students have gained confidence in their everyday life language skills their educational skills may be targeted. These skills may include Reading, Writing, Vocabulary Development, and assistance in English homework.

I tailor my offer to the needs and wishes of the families and their kids, ranging from one on one lessons to little groups learning sessions.

I am also happy to help out, such as picking your child up form a previous activity or bringing them somewhere after the session.
I am a trained and licensed Special Education Teacher from Saint Cloud State University in Minnesota USA. Receiving a Bachelor of Science in Special Education, Learning Disabilities. Over the past 10 years, I have taught in the U.S., South Africa, and Switzerland.
I have been teaching in Switzerland since 2014. Throughout my time as a teacher, I have experienced working with children in a wide age and ability range. I provide services as an Educational specialist for children with Disabilities. Working on the development of student knowledge as well as social and functional living skills. Focusing on a Student-Centered Philosophy while developing Individualized Education Plans, lesson plans, data analysis, and curriculum development.
In addition to providing my educational specialist services, I have focused on the development of children’s English language skills varying from beginner to intermediate. Typically working with children one to one. Through this, the children gain access to the language through visual, verbal, and tactile resources. Creating and implementing age-appropriate learning activities using multi-sensory tools.
